Watching Football! (When they can get it – Our tv signal isn’t the greatest sometimes!)
So football is happening.. Which means Superbowl is coming up.. Can you believe that?? Already?
Maybe I should suggest they take an off year.. You know, kinda like the Olympics! Then we’d have two years to practice up and get ready for it instead of one.. But I doubt they’d listen to me. And I guess when it comes down to it, it’s always a good time to try out a new recipe or something – Which is a plus, right?
So let me share with you what some of the best food bloggers out there are making as their tailgating snacks!
“I made two versions of these Pizza Tarts for October Is Tailgating Snacks Month. 1: Classic or Traditional with pizza sauce, and 2: a Pizza Blanco (white pizza) with sour cream. Both are delicious.”
“The perfect thing for football night, this cheese dip is so simple to whip together and such a hit with everyone that tries it! If it tastes familiar, that’s because it’s similar to the dip at Carlos O Kelly’s, but a little more chunky (with peppers) and has a little less garlic. While I prefer to use “chunky” Rotel rather than the original, you can use any kind!”
“Chocolate, caramel, pretzels, and peanut M&M’s…all layered together in one crunchy bark! Perfect for your Game Day parties….or anytime!”
“I made these chicken wings with a great Asian flavors and they simply disappeared off the platter. These sticky sweet and savory wings will be a touchdown no matter what team you’re rooting for….”
“It’s full of fresh healthy veggies and has black beans instead of the usual refried ones. As with many of my easy recipes, this dip is really a non-recipe. No need to measure – it’s flexible enough that you can eyeball the ingredients and adjust the recipe to fit your dish.”
“Now there is a reason that this bread has the nickname “crack bread” – It’s addictive. Very, very addictive.. And it’s so easy to make! You can use about anything when topping this bread. It really all depends on the mood you’re in. If you’re in a “veggie mood”, you can make this a yummy combo of peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cheese or anything else. If you’re in a “bad-for-you mood”, you can just smother the little baby in Ranch, bacon, and cheese. (Oh my goodness… Dying over here!!)”
“I was racking my brain with ideas and cheese and steak just sounded like the obvious choice. I am a sucker for a good cheesesteak so I thought that stuffing them inside an already delicious pretzel would make them even better. The cheese gets so melty and gooey and oozes out a little and the steak gives these the best flavor.”
“Looking for an easy, yet delicious appetizer idea that everyone will love? Whip up this yummy slow cooker queso dip recipe and serve from the crockpot to keep it warm throughout your party!”
“One of my favorites is loaded potato skins… I order them as an appetizer in just about every restaurant I can… they’re just so GOOD. But these loaded BBQ potato skins… well they’re even better! Cheesy, crispy, loaded with flavor and really easy to make! Doesn’t that sound like the perfect snack?”
“These brownies are your simple boxed brownie, with a homemade peanut butter layer on top of them and then a simple chocolate topping. Yum! You’re sure to be a favorite if you take them anywhere (Promise. No ifs, ands, or buts, about it!)”
“Bacon Wrapped Pimento Stuffed Jalapenos are a kicked up version of your standard jalapeno popper. These are stuffed with delicious pimento cheese, wrapped in bacon and then grilled until nicely charred. Our jalapenos will having you kick your deep-fried ones to the curb.”
“I enjoy bacon with pretty much anything, but especially with burgers. This recipe combines bacon and bleu cheese to make sliders. The sauce is a combination of bleu cheese dressing and hot sauce, using as much or as little as you would like.”
“I’m sharing a recipe for a delicious, creamy cheese dip. Put away the yellow bricks of fake cheese product – this dip uses real cheese (the only kind this Wisconsin-raised girl will use) and flavorful chorizo sausage.”
“The cheese is oozy, the bacon is smoky and the bread is crunchy. What more can you ask for? Perfect for feeding a crowd since each person can “pull apart” it’s own individual bite.”
“Spicy Crockpot Meatballs that are perfect for any social gathering. Sweet, spicy, easy to make and completely ADDICTIVE!”
“This insanely good pull apart pizza bread takes all of 5 minutes to prepare, and is done in under 30 minutes. Easy, cheesy, pizza deliciousness. Perfect for game day!”
“This is seriously the easiest, most delicious slow cooker turkey chili you will ever need. A blend of spices combine with peppers and onions for big flavor in this meaty dish. You won’t believe how simple it is the make! All you need to do is set it, forget it, and come home to a home cooked meal!”
