I remember staying at the “poor farm” in April 1981. At the time I was bicycling from Los Angeles, California to Columbus, Ohio to participate in the TOSRV (Tour of the Scioto River Valley). The “poor house” was being operated by, I assume Nancy Marr, and was known as the Stone Prairie Youth Hostel. I found the limestone structure quite interesting. I ended up staying two nights there as I was ahead of schedule.
