If you’ve had a chance to check out the 2016 Ultimate Planner Review, you probably remember my sharing about the Heart of the Farm Planner that I was generously sent a copy of. Because of that post, I not only got the chance to review one of the most practical and pretty planners I’ve ever worked with, but I also had the chance to form a new friendship with the gal behind the whole Heart of the Farm Planner; Cory!
So she sent me these new recipe cards awhile back and asked if I’d be willing to share my thoughts about them with the rest of you… And I said sure!
(Also, if you’re curious about what I thought about the 13 different planners from last year – Including Recollections, the Starbucks planner, etc. – Check out this post, here!)
Here are the two different styles of recipe cards Cory sent to me. Both of these cards are made on very, very sturdy paper. They’re simple and clean in design, and gorgeous!
This first set of cards is my favorite. I’m in love with the cow drawing! They’re a very similar style to the other style, just a little more “pretty”… Because of the cow.
Here you can see both the front and back of this one. One of my pet peeves with recipe cards is when they’re small and cramped or have tiny lines that I can’t hardly write on. You’ll be happy to know that these don’t have either of these issues!! There’s plenty of room to write all 14 steps of Aunt Edna’s Christmas Tea Ring recipe out..
Here was another fun thing that was sent along with the recipe cards – This set of adorable thank you notes and brown envelopes! I can’t wait to use these later in replying to friends or family. Plus, how cute would these be for sending out little Christmas thank you cards later on this year?! (Yes, I’m already thinking Christmas! It’s never too early.)
With a striking gingham print border along the edges and then the little black and white “thank you” at the bottom of the card, these are sure to make a statement.
This last style of card was a more simple recipe card. It has even more room on it than the other one, but still has a certain charm to it! This one too is made on sturdy paper, perfect for writing heirloom recipes on with ink.
And now for a few more great (and practical!) products for your kitchen:
Now, what would your kitchen look like if you had a bunch of beautiful recipe cards thrown all about the place, but nowhere to keep them stored away nice and neatly?! Say hello to my next wish list item! I’m in love with this wooden recipe box. It has the word “recipes” burned onto the top of it, and you can get it with or without the matching set of dividers and more recipe cards.
This last set of recipe cards is probably my favorite. I didn’t get a chance to review them, but rest assured, they will be in my cart when I checkout! The colors are beautiful!
And the last thing that I want to share with you is this cute set of wooden spoons with a quote or phrase burned into them.. How much fun would these be to hang in your kitchen?!
Be sure to check out the Heart of the Farm website and Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by!
Ashleigh

I don’t like lines that are too little on card b/c my handwriting can’t fit. I also don’t like them too big b/c it influences my hand writing to be sloppye smh…. Great products by the way.

Love the animal graphics but can’t imagine writing recipes out by hand. They’re so much easier to find & store online. I’d rather use these as postcards which I want to start sending to my granddaughter.

Theses are such fab and practical products and very cute! I use a planner in the kitchen but not recipe cards, would like to start though!
Jennifer Quisenberry @ The Awesome Muse says
I really like this. Some of my most cherished belongings are my grandmother’s handwritten recipe cards. She would leave the quirkiest notes. LIke “this is good, but don’t give this to so and so…Make her the other one because she’s a picky little stinker.” You just don’t get that charm with digital recipes these days.
